The Gang was All Here!

From Thursday to Thursday I had 3 loves crashing in my apartment here in San Diego to visit this incredible city as well as Marisa and I. These girls don't mess around and so to make the best of their week here in San Diego we got right down to business...

And we tore San Diego apart:
We celebrated 3 birthdays.
We went to Wine Steals.
We went to Extraordinary Desserts.
Nails were done
and coffee (lots!) was had.
We laid in the sun,
Soaked up the sun,
and have lasting color (some good and some bad) to prove the sun.
We went hiking.
We went to LA.
We ate out A LOT (my fav).
We got feathers.
We saw the sights: La Jolla, Encinitas, Gas Lamp, Little Italy, Ocean Beach, Coronado, North Park, Mission Valley, and Mission Beach.
We had late nights
and early mornings.
And most importantly we laughed as we all do so well... A LOT!

Thanks girls for visiting! Now it's time to plan the next adventure... Perhaps Italy?

Feathers

Apparently I can be artsy
and look like a hipster.
Or maybe I'm a hippie?
Who knew?
"Like mother, like daughter."

Call me a "foodie"

The Hash House is by far my absolute favorite place to go for breakfast.
Every single thing on the menu is DIVINE and the portions are out of this world.
With Rachelle, Stephanie, and Jill in town I had the perfect excuse to make a much needed appearance at this favorite spot.
To defeat the portions Stephanie and I shared this bad girl.
This bad girl is a "Blackberry Granola Pancake" from The Hash House.

Needless to say... we didn't like her at all. :)

In all our glory here we are...
Good morning!
Stephanie is here!

A Season Like No Other

Some call it "student teaching",
We call it teacher boot camp.

A season like NO other.

One of the best
and one of the hardest
times of my life.

8 crazy weeks with Kindergarteners+
8 hilarious weeks with Fourth Graders=
1 credentialed teacher complete with the title-- Ms. Whipple.

Fourth Graders

Making it through... one happy hour at a time!

Kindergarteners

And we made it!
Ms. Whipple and Ms. Souser

And

It's a Fall Day

I woke up this morning to rain! And what a beautiful sight it is as it is still raining right now!
The rain makes today a fall day, my cinnamon enhanced coffee makes today a fall day, my new fall leaves desktop background (cheesy I know... just couldn't help myself) makes today a fall day, and a trip to Julian makes today a fall day.

I am a happy girl!

Many have heard me whine about how I can't stand that San Diego does not really experience fall. Native San Diegans think that San Diego has "fall" but really, they haven't a clue as to the greatness of what fall really holds. And today, I have to say "good job San Diego for pulling fall off, you actually did it!".

I will be home sweet home for the Thanksgiving holiday come Monday night and I not only anxiously await such a sweet reunion because of all the amazing things "home" is, but because "home" means some SERIOUS fall. Can't wait!

Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy this holiday in community and let us all be thankful!
